Some people spend money on flowers for their home, I like candles. I've always coveted larger-than-life candles that are so big you could wrap your arm around them, and they'd probably burn for a lifetime and more. And what's more beautiful than a candleholder completely covered with melted candlewax?

I thought I knew candles until recently, when I was introduced to Amoré By GI OTTO. Before I delve into other info on candles, here's the super cool thing about it: you can dip your fingers into the wax whilst the candle is burning and use the wax as moisturizer! Isn't that amazing?!

The best part [for me, at least] - I learnt that Amoré candles work well on skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, bug-bites and sunburns. Guess who suffers from eczema?

First - this candle really smells of crème brûlée! I've bought many candles in my adult life that promise me one thing and fail to deliver - hell, I've bought many things in general that fail to deliver, so I was pleasantly surprised! Of course I couldn't wait for the wax to start melting so I can dip my fingers into the wax.

Unlike wax candles, Amoré candles burns coolly at 41 Degrees Celsius into a reflective pool of soy that always remains warm to the touch and will not burn hands. And it didn't burn - it's warm, but not overly so, I applied it on the inside of my elbow, one of the spots I have eczema on. When applied, it's waxy, but once you rub it, it becomes almost lotiony. Really cool! My eczema spots sting when I apply shitty moisturizer and I'm pleased to report it didn't when I lathered candlewax on it.

Amoré candles are hand-poured using 100%, FDA approved, pure soy oil and burns cleaner than paraffin-based candles and you can buy them online! They come in a variety of scents including Magnolia, Mandarin Ginger and crème brûlée. It was hard not to eat my crème brûlée candle.

Comes highly recommended for Christmas! And you know how kinky candle wax can be... ;o)
